Ani Tsewang Sangmo

Ani Tsewang Sangmo likes learning pujas and dharma songs—and English, science, and math! She is twelve years old and has been at Tek Chok Ling for two years. Ani Tsewang is from a village in the Dolpo region of northwest Nepal, where her family are farmers. She has four sisters and one brother. Her mother and father brought her and her sister to Tek Chok Ling so that they could receive an education, and her love of learning shows that they were right. Ani Tsewang says she likes living at Tek Chok Ling, especially her friends, the nunnery dogs to play with, and of course Rinpoche. She says that she would like to continue to be a nun in the future
