My name is Sonam Sangmo. I was born on December 9, 2019, in a small village called Saldang, which lies in the Himalayan region of Nepal. I have a younger sister who lives with my parents in village. On May 2, 2024, I became a nun, and I am currently studying in Kindergarten (KG). My favorite subject is math because I really enjoy doing subtraction and addition - it’s a lot of fun!
I love spending time with my friends, Jampa Dolkar and Choeying Lhamo. They are older than me, and they take good care of me. My favorite vegetable is cauliflower, and my favorite fruit is pineapple. In the mornings, I look forward to our classes because we start with chanting pujas and doing lujongs (exercises) before lessons begin. I also dream of learning to cook as I grow older. One day, I want to make different dishes. I really enjoy the food at the nunnery - it’s always delicious!
