Ani Pema Chozom is from Khamay, under Trongsa, Bhutan. She has seven siblings and she is the youngest. She was able to study up to class three in the government school. She likes playing ball, and skipping. She would like to join the shedra when she gets older and hopes to be a teacher in the future. She joined the nunnery in June 2015.
