Ani Tshering Chodron is from Chali Mongar, Bhutan. She has completed Class 10 in Mongar High School. She has three siblings. Neither her parents nor her friends encouraged her to become a nun; this was her own decision. She says that from a very early age she understood that all of life is impermanent and therefore she wanted to study and practice the dharma. She plans to stay at the nunnery and to serve in her best way.
