The Ten Transcendent Practices

When you give up believing in a true self,
There is no other generosity.

When you give up guile and deceit,
There is no other ethics.

When you’re fearless of genuine reality,
There is no other patience.

When you never separate from your practice of Dharma,
There is no other joyous diligence.

When abiding within the natural state,
There is no other concentration.

When you realize the true nature,
There is no other wisdom.

When you bring Dharma into all you do,
There is no other skillful means.

When you benefit both yourself and others,
There is no other aspiration.

When you conquer all the four maras,
There is no other strength.

When you know what the kleshas truly are,
There’s no other original wisdom.
