Cease to be mistaken about the object of
your stupidity - look  at the stupidity itself,
Thoughts are self-arisen and self-liberated,
       awareness-emptiness by nature,
Awareness-emptiness is nothing  other
       than dharmadhatu wisdom-
Within stupidity self-liberated,
       recite the six-syllable mantra.
                                                (Paltrul Rinpoche)

Stupidity is characterized by a lack of clarity. When you are stupid, you just kind of go along with it in an unaware, complacent state. The instruction "Cease to be mistaken about the object of your stupidity" is the directive to snap out of that state. The way to do that is to look straight at the stupid, unclear, unaware mind's essence itself.

What you find when you do this is that you are actually looking at your thoughts. And all your thoughts are the same -- they are self-arisen and self-liberated, awareness-emptiness by nature. So, in fact, this stupid, unclear mind's nature is awareness-emptiness, and this awareness-emptiness is nothing other than dharmadhatu wisdom.
